Jason Cook - Crime Writer who's Books Were Inspired By True Event's
Jason is a dyslexic writer he lives in Herefordshire ware he grew up after moving from Hackney London after dealing with school and not knowing he had learning difficulties tell a lot later on in life he soon went down the wrong path. Now he knows he has he has used this disadvantage as a gift. Jason fully admits he became hoked on drugs, after using them as past time with his piers. Which led to him selling drugs from his bedroom and on the streets to pay off his growing drugs debts to local dealers. Using knifes and guns to protect him self and enforces drug debts become the norm. Soon he was faced with a situation he couldn't get out off. In debt with drug dealers he sold drugs and bought stolen goods to use to pay them off. In trouble with Yardies; he was forced to smuggle drugs in order to save his friends and family from danger. Introduced by chance to gangsters of London's underworld and their overseas criminal activities; he soon became a gangster's runner. At the age of 20 he was heavily involved in the drugs world and he was also taking steroids to build himself up. At eighteen stone; the young man with a sizeable drug habit was now being used to collect money from drug dealers on behalf of the gangsters who supplied them. Along with reducing his own debts he would also be paid in drugs for collecting money from other dealers. Jason was soon arrested and spent three years and nine months in HM Pentonville Prison where drug use was also prevalent. But he managed to get him self on the drug free wing and write about his life. On a second visit to prison he realised that he needed to turn things around in order to improve his quality of life and those of his family. This was when he started writing his books. Despite being dyslexic Jason wanted to tell his stories to others and warn them of how easy it is to become addicted and dragged into a world which is dangerous, illegal and unsafe. Jason tells his story over four books. They tell the tales of events that could happened to any of us. He hopes that his story can help others to avoid the pitfalls of drug use and the inevitable negative consequences.
