JASON COOK AUTHOR
Hello, my name is Jason Cook, and I am an author based in Hertfordshire, UK.
With the selfless support that my dear mother has provided throughout my life, I have been able to overcome many of the difficulties associated with dyslexia and ADHD, and I found the strength and determination to develop my writing skills and business knowledge, which has led to some personal achievements and recognitions that have given me the resolve to stay committed and pursue my aims.
I’ve written numerous books, including a children’s book, which I wrote in collaboration with my two son's Hughie and Eddie.
Five books from my catalogue have been published, but I wanted to go further, so I sought to get involved in the film industry and learn about making a feature film. I gained extensive knowledge about the intricacies of working in it, made valuable contacts with some amazing people who have supported me tremendously, and I have been able to progress with my ambitions.
I held competition events, which I presented and named The Short Film Awards; they were designed to support the Borehamwood community. Entrants were given the opportunity to showcase their short film productions on the big screen to a line of judges and an audience for a chance to win prizes, and all attendees were also entertained by various acts throughout the events.
The culmination of my experiences, friendly support, and some determination has allowed me to successfully initiate the production of my first feature film, Cookster: The Darkest Days, a prequel to The Devil's Dandruff.
I thoroughly enjoyed working with professionals in the film industry, and I will likely turn all my literary works into moving pictures. If all goes well, I’ll be able to continue to support amateur film producers with further short film awards events in the near future.
All Jason's book's are available from Amazon, Waterstones, WH Smith, and directly from my self
